Ironic Instagrams

Before there was Instagram, we never had time to cultivate the desire to take pictures of food, our feet and our pets. Then came filters...

(For those of you unfamiliar with it (Mom),  Instagram is a social network which allows you to take and share square shaped pictures very easily. It also has different 'filter' or preset settings you can apply to boring photos to make them look better.)

For those of you who don't have an account, I hope you can get one.
I don't have a Facebook or Twitter account, but Instagram I really like. I think it's useful for keeping in touch with what's going on with your extended circle of friends, and see their photography skills.

Each filter has a different name such as 'Hefe' 'Hudson' or 'Lofi.'
My favorite filter is Sutro.
My most hated is Kelvin.
My brother Daniel is a purist and prefers 'Normal' (no filter)

What's your favorite/most hated filter? Please comment if you like. :)

Here are a few from the "ironic instagrams' series.
I am missing quite a few. I know :( (Sorry Clara and Squint) :(

10 Years of Pioneering

Yes, I had even worse style when I was 18, but at least I was attempting to move in the right direction spiritually speaking.

September 1st this year marked ten years in full time service for me. I hope I can make ten more.

Below are some pictures from my pioneer school in 2003. Sorry that each photo is ten pixels by ten pixels. I was poor. I couldn't afford a real camera. (Now I'm living it large in DR to make up for that, I have running water and electricity 24/7 suckers!)

Side trivia: I was born Sept 1st 1984...so that was a happy new service year cake I blew the candles out on a few weeks ago, not a birthday cake! J/k :)

Welcome to Little Brown Bird

The day you have been waiting for years has arrived! (No, they didn't make a sequel to 'the notebook'...everyone died at the end of that movie as you recall...sorry for spoiling that movie for those of you who haven't seen it. Everyone dies at the end of 'I am legend' too...sorry for spoiling that movie as well.)

The day has come where I've started a blog!

There is no longer any need to spend evenings thinking 'what's that website that I go to after I've checked my email, Facebook and Instagram? Oh no, there are no other sites. Where else can I go on the Internet that will not result in me having a scarred conscience? I don't want to have to resort to reading the news on bbc (although I want others to think I frequent bbc.com, it is horridly uninteresting), and I've run out of knowing interesting things to search for on YouTube or Wikipedia.'

Hmm, the more websites I list, the more likely it is you shall navigate away from this page. Maybe I should stop listing other sites.

I have been, more or less, against blogging for many years now (not because I'm like that old guy that says 'VCRs are better and I don't see the need for this new Digital Video Disc craze,' but more because I assumed the word 'blogging' involved something gooey and with lots of germs) but after seeing my friend Catherine's blog, I was inspired (and by inspired, I mean motivated by jealousy) to create a blog superior to hers (inspired by that and by Sarah Pennington and Melissa Brooks who both just told me to start a blog (maybe it would be a good idea to start a separate blog instead of cluttering up other peoples instagram feeds))

Hope you enjoy!

(Wait, everyone died at the beginning of 'I am Legend.' My mistake)
(for those of you that don't care, I'm adding in a picture of a cute cat. I hope the cute cat picture makes up for some of the wasted time spent reading this)
